If you know me, you know I am a huge K-Pop and BTS fan (my status as the BTS Army leader is currently pending). I recently came across this concert video from 2019 where BTS wore ravishing pink ensembles and performed “Boy With Luv” and I immediately felt inspired to recreate a similar outfit.
BTS has been known for pushing the limits on gender norms within fashion and embracing a spectrum of masculine and feminine looks to express themselves. I personally believe that style is not about gender; it’s about expressing who you are in the moment. And this can change from day-to-day as we are never in a permanent state. We are constantly growing and evolving, so why not explore your creativity and express it with an outfit?
Falling a bit more on the feminine spectrum, I paired these white pants with a soft, satin pink button-down top. What could be more comfortable? It’s casual and still professional enough for any meeting— perfect for the zoom calls we will all continue to have through the rest of 2020. The pants are also so stretchy, they almost feel like PJ’s.
I then dressed it up by adding some bold, gold jewelry and a single strand of pearls. I also added this iridescent double- ring from Kendra Scott to add in more texture to the whole outfit.
Overall I wanted this outfit to give me the confidence that BTS had in that concert recording. I wanted to embody a soft but bold and elevated but comfortable look because nothing gives you more confidence than when you look and feel great.
Which K-Pop bands inspire you? Let me know in the comments!
